Tell us about allergies and dietary needs when registering, and whenever anything changes. For a known allergy, the manager works with you on an allergy care plan and risk assessment. Discuss dietary requirements with your nursery before your child starts.
Talk to your nursery about the foods and textures your baby has tried, and agree the next steps together. Your nursery can explain how to supply breast milk or formula and how it is stored and prepared.
Mealtimes are social occasions. Children are encouraged to help serve food, pour drinks and clear plates when developmentally appropriate.
At our Plymouth and Weymouth nurseries, government funding doesn't cover food, so meals, snacks and consumables come as the Bear Necessities package alongside funded hours. Details on the fees page.
